A.S.O - notice of before surgery 

1. The surgery time will take for around 2 hours; also you will take time in a recovery room for 1 ~2 hours after surgery, and then you will go back to patient's room.

 

2. Need endotracheal intubation for arnesthesia and breathe(intubation tube into the broncheal  tube through the nose).

It feels like there's foreign object stuck and pain in your throat for 3 ~ 4 days, Because of exposure to airway irritant.

 

3. You will have dry phlegm a lot also will be bleeding through nose and mouth 3 ~ 4 days after surgery.

Don't worry too much. Its normal situation if you happen to show difficulty in breathing, the nurse will use medical equipment to remove phlegm.

4. You will feel nausea and dizziness the next morning since surgery, and if blood flow into stomach, you could feel vomiting or could vomit.

 

5. You could feel terrible pain and headche directly after surgeryx, it will get better 2 ~ 3 days after surgery, we will help to take a painkiller after check your situation, if you feel really sharp pain, just tell the nurse.

 

6. The most important thing is taking deep breaths and applying ice packs.

Taking deep breaths is useful for excreting anesthesia gas from the body, also applying ice packs useful for reducing swelling when you take a deep breath, you should keep stay awake and try to chest up to the point of taking deep breath slowly and deeply in at least 4 hour after surgery even though you are sleeping.

Also only apply ice packs for 48 hours after surgery.

Applying ice packs have to do for 10 minutes first and have to break for 5 minutes keep this pattern, don't need to do during sleeping in night.

 

7. Should fast for 4 hours after surgery, the nurse will help you to drink water after 4 hours.

Usually happen feel nausea the first day of surgery; keep drink water to a minimum.

 

8. Should keep a sitting position for reducing swelling and it's not good to keep reading with your head drooping.

 

9. Swelling degree is depends on person, you will have heavy swollen 3 ~ 7 days after surgery.

And swelling will reduce faster after taking out the stitches.
